Dalton Farrow Designs Ltd. is a mechanical design engineering consultancy based in the West Midlands close to the i54 Business Park Wolverhampton (The site of the new Jaguar Land Rover Engine Plant and MOOG).

The company was originally established in 1986 by Ivan Dalton and Lee Farrow, it was their aim to offer a high quality, multi-disciplined design service to the engineering industry. Over the last 15 years it has also become the mission of their sons Nick Dalton and Adrian Farrow, who are now joint managing directors of the company.

Diversification has been the key to our success, with fluctuations in the fortunes of most industries, the need to be flexible and adapt has been essential. Flexibility has also kept us keen, constantly learning about different businesses, processes and techniques, enabling us to utilise and apply these techniques where appropriate.


Through our extensive use of 2D & 3D CAD software and the use of kinematics, customers now have the ability to visualise their products as 3d virtual models, with the added benefit of seeing virtual assemblies moving as they would when built.

Also customers have the option of utilising our In house high-performance 3d printing capability, and are now better able to appreciate their products with the use of 3d rapid prototypes, enabling enhancements if desired to be completed quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.


Our In house high-performance 3d printing facility can be used to provide 3D rapid prototypes, mock-ups and scaled models.

ABS & PLA are the most common plastics used, however many more materials are available dependant on the application.

(3d print envelope is 200mm x 200mm x 180mm) although larger models can be built in stages.
